Removal of the lower branches of a tree, this could be to allow vehicles access or just to let some light in.

Specialized pruning includes techniques such as:

Vista pruning, Pollarding, fruit tree pruning, tree and shrub shaping, pleaching, topiary, espalier, and retrenchment pruning.
